It's been A Year.
I don't really need to recap why,Gulab 69 (2025) Hindi Web Series do I? To exist in 2020 is to comprehend why.
But we were all reminded of how much of A Year it has been this week when Spotify released to users their annual Wrapped playlists and data. Music, after all, can tell you a lot about how you're feeling.
People online, as per usual, were quick to share their playlists and, yep, it's confirmed: This year was sad and we didn't feel great.
That seemed to be the theme of the year, well, that and Taylor Swift, of course.

And listen, I get it. 2020 was depressing and some of us (apparently lots of us) like to embrace sadness by listening to sad music. I include myself in that camp. My top artist was the rock group the The Hold Steady (my favorite band), but I also listened to a veritable shit ton of Phoebe Bridgers, Soccer Mommy, Jason Isbell, and Bill Callahan. Here's my contribution to the compulsory sharing of Wrapped playlists.
