British supermarket Tesco has stopped selling popular household brands after a price dispute with its major supplier,Secret Tutoring (2018) Unilever.

The row began when Unilever proposed a 10% price increase because of the falling value of the pound against the euro and the dollar, after Britain's decision to leave the EU.
“We are experiencing availability issues on a number of Unilever products. We always work to ensure customers get the best possible prices and we hope to have this issue resolved soon," a Tesco spokesman said.
The decision predictably caused hysteria on Twitter, as people reacted with the hashtag #MarmiteGate:

UPDATE: Oct. 13, 2016, 6:23 p.m. BST On Thursday it was reported that the dispute between Unilever and Tesco had been resolved.
