OK,sex videos of neighbors ladies, let’s get in formation… for the new Beyoncé/Peloton collab we’ve all been waiting for.
That’s right. The most highly requested artist for Peloton workouts, according to the company, is joining with the exercise giant to celebrate Homecoming season. Every fall, historically black colleges and universities celebrate the Homecoming tradition, but with COVID-19, celebrations have shifted online. And now, Beyoncé and Peloton are working together to create Homecoming-themed workouts for Peloton members.
According to Peloton’s blog, the workouts will span several categories, from the company’s well-known spin classes to running, strength, and yoga classes. In addition to offering total access to Beyoncé content for all paid members, the company will be gifting several two-year Peloton Digital memberships to students at HBCUs.
The schools include Bennett College, Clark Atlanta University, Grambling State University, Hampton University, Howard University, Morehouse College and Morehouse School of Medicine, Spelman College, Texas Southern University, and Wilberforce University. Peloton has also committed to continuing to build relationships with these schools and to increase recruiting efforts for internships with the company in the future.
According to Fast Company, the partnership boosted Peloton’s stock price this morning, up 3.38 percent to $103.39 in premarket trading.
This social-minded promotion is not the first HBCU-focused initiative for Beyoncé, either. The pop queen has long been an HBCU advocate, creating scholarshipsfor students, enlisting HBCU dancers and bands for her documentaryand Coachellaperformance, and now focusing on infusing HBCU culture into the prominent workout lifestyle.
The Beyoncé content will be available on the Peloton app, which offers a 30-day free trial, and via the Peloton Bike, Bike+, and Tread+. I don’t know about you, but I might have to sign up justfor this.
