A surfing camera in San Francisco captured the moment a massive great white shark put on family Archivesa splashy (and scary) show.
The clip, which was shot Wednesday morning at Ocean Beach, shows nearly a dozen surfers waiting in the water as the shark jumps clear out of the water for a pretty sweet belly flop. While many of the surfers missed seeing the shark showing off, a few surfers witnessed the action.
SEE ALSO: Jet ski rider films his surprise encounter with a tiger shark“I saw it straight on,” surfer Nick Masturzo told Surfline. “And when I saw that white belly go up and the super defined white of pectoral fins I knew what it was."
Masturzo says the shark was 6 to 8 feet in length and was likely a juvenile.
Surflinereports that while a few surfers did get out of the water, about 30 of them remained to hit the waves.
