Kim Joiner, a visitor to Circle B Bar Reserve near Lakeland, Florida, took the video over the weekend, according to Storyful. She described the encounter as "very exciting."

According to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission, the state record for an alligator is 14 feet 3.5 inches.
