Like the rest of us, Hamill appreciates that no efforts will be made to replace Fisher. Instead of recasting the role or employing high-tech CGI, Episode IXwill serve up previously unseen Leia moments driven by the actor that has always brought her to life.
Like Hamill himself, Fisher will get to complete her role in the Skywalker Saga all by herself. She no doubt would have approved.
