Porsche has begun hiring new engineers for its research and The Liar (2014)development team in China, aiming to strengthen software development for “digital cockpit” infotainment systems and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), sources told 36Kr on Oct. 25. The report did not specify how many positions Porsche plans to add to its China R&D team, which currently has about 50 employees. However, sources described it as the second hiring drive since 2022, when the division was established mainly for local testing of export models. They added that the automaker aims to improve the voice recognition capabilities of its in-car system and begin research and analysis for ADAS. Meanwhile, the German luxury car brand plans to move the location from the Pudong area in Shanghai to the city’s Jiading district, where its main owner, Volkswagen, is also located, according to the report.
