Amazon's first foray into soundbars began with the basic Fire TV Soundbar, which is subpar at best. Last year, however, the brand expanded its lineup and added the Fire TV Soundbar Plus, which offers a much more appealing package. The 3.1-channel all-in-one soundbar supports Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and DTS TruVolume, which the original soundbar does not. It also offers precise tuning, a customizable dialogue enhancing setting, a wide frequency range, and four preset listening modes (movie, music, sports, and night). While built-in TV speakers are typically on the back of the TV and point down, a soundbar directs the sound outward toward the room.
