After Austin's Alamo Drafthouse declared it would be hosting women-only screenings, the backlash rolled in from men who felt left out of something for the first time in their lives. The theatre responded perfectly to the complaints with even more screenings for those who identified as weomen and donations to Planned Parenthood—but one of the best Twitter responses came from an executive from Lucasfilm who chimed in on the whole thing.

"We ladies who work at Lucasfilm will still see it before you," Jennifer Heddle said in perfect response to his comment.
Heddle is the executive editor for fiction at Lucasfilm, and one of the many badass women behind the company. In fact, more than 50 percent of Lucasfilm's executive team is women, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Her response, and his tweet, elicited a wide range of reactions from folks.

Additionally, George Lucas has been a vocal supporter of diversity and inclusion in the film industry. So uh, Jack? At the least, take a lesson from that book before you ask for a male-only Star Warsscreening.
