Season 2 of Trump: The White Skin Black ThighsAdministrationis just as soul-crushing as ever. Every once in a while, we'll still get a decent whodunit of an episode.
On Wednesday the New York Times published a sanctimonious op-ed written by an anonymous Trump administration official. In it, the writer describes the president's severe cognitive limitations and why he and a group of Trump administration officials haven't invoked the 25th amendment. Instead, they've chosen to continue to serve the president and protect America from his bad decisions.

Cool.
Bite me.
The piece includes self-serving nuggets like this one:
"Given the instability many witnessed, there were early whispers within the cabinet of invoking the 25th Amendment, which would start a complex process for removing the president. But no one wanted to precipitate a constitutional crisis. So we will do what we can to steer the administration in the right direction until — one way or another — it’s over."
Some experts might argue that the president is so incapacitated, we're already in a constitutional crisis. Nonetheless, the writer continues:
"The bigger concern is not what Mr. Trump has done to the presidency but rather what we as a nation have allowed him to do to us. We have sunk low with him and allowed our discourse to be stripped of civility."
Ah, good old civility politics. Are we sure this op-ed wasn't ghostwritten by David Brooks?
Regardless, Twitter has launched a full-on investigation, which has prompted some pretty great memes.

Excellent sleuthing, everyone. If only the person who wrote this op-ed would stand up, identify himself, and then do something to make the madness stop.
Oh well, cowardice it is. Onto to the next episode!
