China’s box office for the 2025 Lunar New Year holiday surpassed RMB 2.8 billion ($390 million) as of 12:13 p.m. on Playboy foursome season 1 episode 2Jan. 30, the second day of the holiday, according to data from Chinese cinema ticket site maoyan.com. The top three films at the holiday box office are Ne Zha, Detective Chinatown 1900, and Creation of the Gods II: Demon Force. All three are part of established blockbuster franchises. Ne Zha 2 follows the 2019 animated hit Ne Zha, which grossed RMB 5.036 billion ($700 million) in China. Detective Chinatown 1900 is the fourth installment in the Detective Chinatown series, with the first three films earning RMB 824 million ($115 million), RMB 3.397 billion ($470 million), and RMB 4.523 billion ($630 million), respectively. Meanwhile, Creation of the Gods II: Demon Force is the second entry in the Creation of the Gods fantasy series.
