A Frank Ocean song usually contains no more than two instruments,Violet (2025) lyrics revolving around nostalgia, loneliness, and different names for weed.

Add to that a song from the '50s or '60s with a dramatic pitch shift, a beat change, and a rap verse that doesn't make sense. Voila! You have yourself a Frank Ocean song.

At least that's the recipe for a Blonde-era Frank Ocean tune that's currently going viral on Twitter.

Songwriter and performer @LeftAtLondonposted a video of herself creating a pretty convincing Frank Ocean sound-alike tune following the steps listed above.

Left At London, who just released her second EP "Transgender Street Legend Vol. 1," told Mashable that she had noticed reoccurring themes in Ocean's music: "Admittedly I’ve been noticing patterns in Blondeand Endlessthat I just had to point out."

That genius Ocean-ification of "Take Me Home, Country Roads" was sort of a coincidence, though: "I just didn’t know what song to pitch shift until I had "Country Roads" stuck in my head yesterday morning!"

Left At London (who is also a huge Ocean fan) says her favourite Frank Ocean songs are "Biking", "Unity,"and "RAF."

"None of which follow my own formula," she says.

@LeftAtLondon shared the lyrics to the last rap verse of the song, since it – in true Frank Ocean fashion – is a little hard to make out the words. The hip hop melancholy is real here.

As one Ocean fan pointed out, Left At London's Frank Ocean parody may be the closest thing we'll get to an actual Ocean song in a long time.
