Our freshest example concerns NBA player Tristan Thompson, the latest Kardashian-dating athlete. Just to set the record straight: No , he did not get a tattoo paying homage to Khloe Kardashian inked across his back. I mean, 2016 is a bad year but it's not thisbad.

The Kardashians, of course, have a long history of dating athletes. Thompson, a forward for the Cleveland Cavaliers, is the latest. He and Khloe have reportedly been dating since this past off-season.

That's the context for this alleged photo of Thompson's back, which caused quite a stir on the sports internet Wednesday.

The ink in question apparently belongs to another athlete -- Louisiana State cornerback Andraez Williams.

Khloe, Williams said via Twitter on Wednesday afternoon, is his daughter's name.
