Sometimes,Underwater Love you really can't win on social media.
On Sunday, the airline Virgin Australia posted some photos of a stunning cloud formation on its Facebook page. Captured on a recent flight from Perth to Adelaide, the pictures are of wave clouds, which are caused when air encounters an obstruction like a mountain and is forced over the object.

"The wave clouds are caused by air being forced up over a range of hills and performing a wave like motion until it settles down, which causes the gaps. The air goes up, cools, then bounces back up again."
So far, so good. But to the internet's delight, the post has since been littered with comments from conspiracy theorists convinced the photos show something a lot more sinister. *Gasp* Chemtrails.
If you haven't spent any time in the darkest recesses of the internet, chemtrail theories are based around the idea that planes are spraying chemical or biological agents in their contrails.
That's despite a landmark study in 2016, in which 76 out of 77 chemists surveyed found no evidence to support chemtrail theories. We'll repeat, no evidence.
But at least the comments are entertaining.
Wake up, sheeple!
