Pussyhats are explicit sex scenes in mainstream moviesthe go-to accessory for the many women’s marches planned for this weekend, and now even the famous Make Way For Ducklingstatues at Boston’s Public Garden are sporting them.
It’s not known who outfitted the statues in their pint-sized protest gear or when it happened. The first record of the Mrs. Mallard and her crew wearing the tiny hats is from Jan. 11. They were spotted again by Instagram Allie Kroner on Thursday morning and have since been celebrated all over the internet.

This is not the first time the ducks have worn miniature accessories. (They’ve also recently donned New England Patriots jerseys.) This is an unusually political statement for the ducklings to be making, but it will surely be appreciated by the 40,000 or so people that are expected to turn out for Boston's march on Saturday.
