Morhaime said he and another one of Blizzard's co-founders Allen Adham pitched in $10,000 each to get the company off the ground, and Morhaime's $10,000 came from his grandma's loan.
The loan, dated Feb. 4, 1991, stated that Morhaime was to pay his grandmother back $100 at the first of every month.
Since then, Blizzard has created some of the most successful video game franchises in the world. Today the company is worth nearly $19 billion thanks to Morhaime's generous grandma.
"My grandparents were always just very, very supportive, and so she was just always very happy to help," Morhaime said during the live stream. "She wasn't a gamer, she didn't really play our games, but she was always just so proud of everything I did."
Shouts out to Morhaime's grandma.
