Kamboj wrote that she had "tried calling various car services but instead of helping, they asked for double/triple the amount." And then, the Police Control Room (PCR) van arrived and the cops not only helped her change the tire but also ensured she reaches her destination safely.
Indian users on Facebook heaped praises on the Delhi Police.
"Fantastic work done... this kind of friendly behaviour our government and their employees must have.. this shows a big change for humanity... simply wow," wrote one.
"Not everyone is a corrupt guy there there are also some nicest guys out there. Good to repose confidence in the public," said another.
Given India's recent issues with women's safety in public places, this is a heartening incident indeed.
