The internet service provider America loves to hate, Comcast, is reportedly experiencing service outages across the U.S. And it's bad.

According to DownDetector, the outage appears focused on the East and West Coasts.
Comcast has also confirmed that one of its "large backbone network partners had a fiber cut," and that that may be responsible for the outages.

Meanwhile, reports are trickling in that this may actually be the result of two fiber lines being cut — although that remains unconfirmed at present.

Representatives for Comcast didn't immediately respond to a request for comment. We're sure someone will get back to us sometime between 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., and we'll update this story when we hear back.
UPDATE: June 29, 2018, 2:03 p.m. PDT: According to CNBC, Comcast officials claim "services are now being restored."
UPDATE: June 29, 2018, 2:15 p.m. PDT: Comcast provided the following statement to Mashable:
“We identified two, separate and unrelated fiber cuts to our network backbone providers. Our engineers worked to address the issue immediately and services are now being restored to business and residential internet, video and voice customers. We again apologize to anyone who was impacted.”
