LOS ANGELES -- What better day to drop news about Mean Girlsthan on Watch This Ain't Ghostbusters XXX ParodyOct. 3?
On Monday, which fans nationwide celebrate as Mean Girls Day, news broke that Tina Fey's 2004 hit comedy will be getting a stage adaptation in Washington D.C. in fall 2017.

It was first announced on the official Mean GirlsFacebook page.
The play is from Tony Award-nominated lyricist Nell Benjamin (Legally Blonde The Musical), as well as Fey and her husband, composer Jeffrey Richmond (who did the titular song for Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt).
Fey's film, which has developed a cult following, starred Rachel McAdams, Lizzy Caplan, Lacey Chabert, Amanda Seyfried and Fey.
More information is expected to be announced at a later date.
