"Apple is about mainstream luxury, so a $1,000 phone seems less likely," the note said, according to a Business Insider report. The company is expected to release three different phones: the 7S, 7S Plus and the 8, with the 8 naturally being the priciest of the lot.
As always, these reports are speculative, and we won't know the price of the iPhone 'til Apple wants us to. But there's one good reason this price makes sense: Samsung. The expected price is right around the asking price of the Samsung Galaxy S8+, which is about $840 depending on your carrier.
The iPhone 8 is also expected to come with true tone displays, and rumor has it that the company may bring back a rounded "water drop design."
